Inspire, Challenge & Empower so through Christ we make a difference

Our School Day

Our day starts at 8:40am, when the school doors open. Teachers take the register and we say our morning prayer at 8:55am before lessons start at 9am. Typically, we complete Maths (based around the Maths Mastery approach), English (using our SPC Writing Journey) and Phonics (Little Wandle - in EYFS and KS1). Three times a week we also attend assembly - further information about our Collective Worship can be found in the Catholic Life and Mission section of our website. At 11am, we have breaktime on our playgrounds. At 11:15am, we return to learning in class. Lunchtime begins at 12pm for our KS1 children and 12:15pm for our KS2 children.

After lunch, we return to our classrooms at 1:15pm, ready for our afternoon learning. Each week, we spend 2 1/2 hours of our learning time finding out more about Catholicism in our RE work. We also use our afternoon learning time to find out more about our Curriculum topics. We are dismissed from class at 3:20pm onto the playground. This equates to approximately 32 1/2 hours in a typical week.
